With terrorism, abduction and increasing crime rate on the go, no parents can sit peacefully when their little kids are not home. It a worry every parent faces. The world has turned into such an unpredictable place with no safety at all. This is the reason why a team of professionals came up with this GPS tracker which can position your kid's location at any point of time. This particular GPS tracking device for kids is an actual relief for parents as they don't have to worry when their kids are late to reach back home. This GPS tracking device for kids utilizes the GPS system also known as the global positioning system which was launched by USA to provide 24 hours seven days a week global navigational system worldwide. This helps in finding out a position or any time at any point in the world with the help of four dedicated satellites supporting the system. This particular technology can be used for the safety and protection of our kids and hence with this idea came the GPS tracking device for kids. The GPS tracking system for kids comes with a typical gadget which is usually attached to the clothes, shoes or backpack of your kid. This transmitter will send signals at regular intervals and these signals are picked up GPS receivers that pick up such signal. With the information we get from these signals we can figure out the location of your kid. Usually only licensed people are allowed to do this service, and there are many such licensed agencies doing this on a monthly subscription fee basis. There are differences in the tracking services offered by various tracking organizations and the subscription fee may depend upon the quality of the service. One can opt for either monthly plans or continuous plans depending upon the level of to what extent you want to track your kid. Tracking your kid will ensure that he or she is safe and that you are convinced about his or her location. There are issues on questions regarding the child's privacy being breached with this GPS tracking device for kids and that this system should not be promoted etc. But what harm does this GPS tracking device for kids do other than protecting them. At an age when kids are helpless, it's always the parents who worries so much about their kids. You can get information about your child's location n your mobile phone or you can install software in your PC or Mac and receive information's through the internet. And this will just take a few seconds from the moment you click for your service. I would highly recommend GPS tracking device for kids to every parent who send their kids outdoors so often. Even if it's to a friend's place or for some errands as we said earlier the world is getting so unpredictable and there is nothing called as safety as such..

"And I hope people start realizing that we have to come up with other ways than driving your car by yourself to work," said Unger, who dreamed up the one day event. Participation in the campaign involves electing to use an alternative mode of transportation during the Friday commute. So drop the judgement, climb outta the box, leave the car at home, and check out the view of your world from a new and exciting place like a skateboard or any other unconventional "crazy" mode of fossil fuel free transport. We all need to get over ourselves, have some fun and use our powers for good my friend! And then share our new and inevitably amazing perspectives of things, because that is all that this is about, making the space to do it differently, see it differently, and then, finally, choose to live it differently, for real, and without intending to but at the risk of sounding like a totally cheesy b s Nike ad. So much peace my friend and happy gliding, skipping, pogo sticking, peddling, paddling and whatever else keeps this wonderful world of ours spinning right side up right way around with us still on it. I'm under no illusion that a skateboard is going to turn things around and save our sorry asses from the predicament we are all in. But like Gandhi said: "Everything you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it anyway."You could kayak from White Rock, across Boundary Bay, around the Airport and up into False Creek or Burrard Inlet a long and arduous trek indeed, and thoroughly outrageous, but totally do able nonetheless, and under your own steam! It would be powerfully illuminating of how our discovery and use of fossil fuels has been so incredibly beneficial in so many ways to our standard of living and quality of life (as well as immensely disastrous in countless other ways). Such a crazy commute would create the space for one to contemplate that which needs to be come to terms with in all this, driving home how precious a gift oil is, black gold, and how we have utterly squandered it in our total disregard of its power and potential to do good. Paddling that trip would give one the time to think hard about a lot of hard things and maybe provide the perspective needed to change some stuff in one's life, that, while likely only a drop in the bucket in the bigger scheme of things, could have significant ripple effects in directions unimagined and the lives of others, both known and unknown. Give it at go Duf! Feel what it's like to do it and then, at the very least, be able to know and say that you did! And if not this Friday, then one day dude! What have you got to lose, other than a few pounds, some monkey on your back carbon dependency, and maybe a layer of skin off your hands? For that one magical kayak trip to work, you won't be in traffic sucking back the fumes, but rather, surrounded by the lapping lull of cleansing ocean waters and seabirds floating luxuriously and unrushed in their daily rhythms, living eternally in the now. Aug 26, 2010 at 12:30 pm Steve, you know what, the worst air to breathe is on transit routes with diesel buses, in Vancouver, the B Line route to be specific. Now, I'm in favour in removing as many ditzy myopic drivers of a certain ethnic persuasion and gender from the roads, but those foul ear shattering diesel buses do society more harm than good. As long as the COV has transportation planners who are on their knees to TransLink to allow TransLink to save a few pennies per rider while putting our health at risk, we are far better off with non toxic cars on the roads, thank you very much. Try this link and do some research before spouting off about the false merits of diesel bus transit:Aug 26, 2010 at 2:25 pm I wholeheartedly agree with you chemical engineer! We should NOT feel good, in any way, about packing people into buses that sprew out tonnes of toxins, and ever consider calling that sustainable. WTF?! Why don't we live where we work? Work where we live? Contribute to and support the local economy and social wholeness of the communities we hang our hats in, go to sleep in, eat our morning and evening meals in, raise our kids in, etc? Why have we, as human animals, disconnected ourselves from our natural habitats and settled in such untenable patterns? And I don't buy the higher intellect thing, given the impending implosions of almost every ecosystem required for our specific life support. Ours is a human zoo, put so eloquently by Desmond Morris in his book of the same name. Carrying a canoe down Cambie Street or skateboarding across the Dunsmuir bridge or stiltwalking from Commercial Drive into downtown Vancouver or sailing down the Fraser River, all to get to work, is meant to free up our view so that we can notice stuff we've been missing and see what it is we are doing everyday with our mornings and evenings, our whole entire days, so that we can think about how that is impacting our lives and our planet in very real and tangible and horrifying ways, to get us to question if we still think it's cool to live in these utterly unmanageable and unhealthy ways, and to give us the creative space to consider how we might begin to change it up so as to make our lives more liveable and the planet less pissed with us. So don't get on a bus! Exit the current thinking on transportation all together, step outta the box and get crazy instead! Aug 26, 2010 at 4:13 pm Hipsters on bikes will love this. If you plan on participating in this, at least do something creative, like put an articulating joint in between two Chevy Traverse's or something similar, and have one car pull the other to your destination then have the other one pull you home. It'll be interesting and instead combine two gas guzzling engines into one, have the rear one in neutral and steer with directions from the front passenger over a bluetooth headset. Plus then you can carry 16 people in total and their baggage. Aug 26, 2010 at 6:18 pm Geez Rod lighten up. its just ONE DAY. Get over it. No one is forcing you to partiipate, I don't see a gun to your head. All this event is about. is a reminder that when it comes to transportation there's more than one way to skin a cat. If you job is so important to you that you can't take one day to do something a little different, a little zany lest you lose your job and go into some sort of manic tizzy. I humbly suggest that maybe your the type, who needs this day more than the rest of us. your gonna blow a blood vessel. Aug 26, 2010 at 6:48 pm Mary, I didn't think that Vancouver actually had people who understand that sustainability means living near your work. You've renewed my faith that Vancouver does at least have a few people who aren't total morons moving out to Coquitlam to commute 100 km round trip daily by diesel bus. This week a young Chinese mother with her five or six year old son moved from our building on the B Line route. Reason: the son couldn't sleep at night because the 60' articulated diesel buses howl and scream until 4 am and because she didn't want her son to damage his lungs from the foul toxic emissions spilling into her apartment. TransLink and COV, I'm coming after you and you have nowhere to hide, scum! Aug 26, 2010 at 9:56 pm Neil, a diesel bus like the B Line gets 1/10th the fuel mileage of the average car and is on the road 20 times longer than the average driver's 45 minute commute. What's worse for the environment, 100,000 clean burning cars or 1,000 soot blowing toxic diesel buses causing cancer and asthma? Neil, before we even start to look at GHG emissions, diesel buses can't possibly be considered the preferred choice over cars because diesel buses emit toxic emissions which cars do not. Maybe the odd diesel bus is harmless but 600 diesel bus trips daily on the B Line route? Come on. However, forget that, let's calculate the difference in CO2 emissions between cars and diesel buses: 638471 007 Air Jordan 1 Retro KO High Sport Blue ,Air Jordan 11 Low White Black Red 342132 061 Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap Black Red 136065 101 Air Jordan 1 Retro White Silver Navy Women Size Air Yeezy 2 Red October 2014 Kanye West Shoes Air Jordan 5 3Lab5 Air Jordan 10 Bulls Over Broadway 689479 405 Air Jordan 11 Pantone University Blue White Black 2014 Air Jordan 3 Retro True Blue 2011 Air Jordan 5 Premio Black Black Metallic Silver Recently, my 4 year old daughter Chloe competed in the Silicon Valley Kid Triathlon. She had a wonderful time and I believe she felt very proud. I know I did! I tried not to be overly excited but I couldn help myself. Still, after seeing Mom, Dad, and the Grandparents run other races in the past, I think she felt a little like she was one of us, a grown up. I think Chloe had a great time. She started the day feeling a little shy, but once she had a snack she got very excited and really wanted to start. She kept saying, want to go swimming! Finally her wave, age 6 and under, was about to start so she gave me her socks (Daddy put her shoes in transition already), gave me a kiss and her of Grandma Randi, her sister Aunt Mardi, Grandma E, Gramps, her little brother Alex and myself went to go cheer her on. Aunt Mardi, a 3 time Kona Ironman World Championship age group winner, had taken the train up just to see the race. We thought Chloe was going to be able to swim with a noodle (with Daddy), but found out that was against the rules, so Daddy held her hands while she kicked across the pool. She can quite swim yet though she getting close, but I must brag a little more and say that her little legs were kicking all the way across that 25 yard pool! She ran back to the transition area, Daddy put her helmet, shoes, shorts and shirt with race number on, and then off they went on a 1 mile bike loop. Chloe pedaled the whole way, all by herself, while Daddy ran next to her. Daddy had tricked her bike out with fake paper aero wheels with Zipp Speed Weaponry stickers, so her tiny pink and white bike looked super fast. When she rounded the last corner she saw all of us cheering her on, and she had the most adorable smile and then managed to ride even faster! After she biked in, she took off on the 1/4 mile run. You might think I was joking about the mountain lion thing, but no, she has a great imagination and was actually roaring and clawing the air as she ran. Chloe dashed across the finish line and then we were all there to give her hugs, kisses, and lots of cold water and tasty snacks! Chloe finished the 1.28 mile course in 22 minutes. She had a wonderful time, and we had so much fun cheering her on. I don know if she will ever do another race, but I do believe she had a great time today. If she wants to, I hope to sign her up for one of the upcoming kid fun runs. It seems like many adult races these days also have 5Ks and kids fun runs too. A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who made this race possible, especially members of the Silicon Valley Triathlon Club! Wow! That is awesome, way to go Chloe! My husband and I ran our first half marathon last summer and plan on running the same one this year with a time goal this time. Our 4.5 yo son wants to run the kids race at the same event, it a 2k held the day before. Either my husband or I will run with him while the other cheers him on with our daughter who will have just turned 2. I sure she will be joining him in the kids races by next summer as she wants to do everything he does! I love to see them embracing our active lifestyle. My kids have done these things in a fun way since they were small. The oldest is now 14 and participates when she wants to, one of her younger sister competes at a high level. Triathlons, biathlons, duathlons etc are a great accomplishment in themselves, whatever the age, whatever the distance and kids can gain great self confidence from just finishing, with the right emphasis from parents and supporters. You don have to be the best swimmer, cyclist or runner, it about the event and if they want to do it competitively at some point then that not a bad thing either. It gives them something to focus on and keeps them busy when there to do These events tend to be great days out with all the family involved (participating and/or supporting). Good for fitness too. If a parent is more pushy than supportive, that can make it a negative experience and certainly for any parent trying the sport makes you a more empathetic supporter. You can google kids events in the UK and they really are family days out. This Internet site provides information of a general nature and is designed for educational purposes only. Short sellers of Reebok stock thought it would drop like a rock when the aerobic fitness craze slowed and the soft, white leather shoe fad faded. But though growth of exercise classes may be lagging, Reebok sales remain good and the stock has not taken a nose dive.Instead, the , company is still selling millions of its comfy atheltic shoes to a broadening base of customers and continues to ride a wave of public attention most shoe companies only dream about.Famous people who can afford to wear anything they choose still get caught in front of the cameras wearing the bright, often multi hued Reebok sneakers. Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones wore his Reeboks in a rock video, and actress Cybill Shepherd sported her florescent orange sneakers at an Emmy Awards ceremony. Bruce Springsteen and Lionel Ritchie have been wearing Reeboks around town, too.Mr. Down isn't an artist, entertainer, comedian, or celebrity. He is a Boston firefighter. Not infrequently, Down works a 24 hour shift in the fire house during which he refuses to wear any other shoe than his white, hightop Reebok sneakers because they're so comfortable. Even though black shoes are officially required around the firehouse, Down sports his soft, comfortable whities anyway.By regulation I do have to change into rubber boots before we get a call,'' Down says. Other than that, I wear them all the time. I'm a part time roofer and I wear them on the roof, too.''That kind of dedication to a pair of shoes surprises some people, but not James Barclay, president of Reebok's footwear division. One thing our brand really stands for, besides performance and style, is comfort,'' Mr. Barclay said in a recent Monitor interview. We don't believe comfort is a fad. We don't think comfort ever goes out of style. There's nothing that says you can't make performance shoes both fashionable and comfortable.''Together, Barclay and Reebok president and chief executive officer Paul Fireman have charted a course for Reebok that has helped it grow from $900,000 in sales in 1980 into a major shoe company with $919 million in sales last year. Some shoe industry analysts expect Reebok sales this year to be in the neighborhood of $1.3 billion. Mr. Fireman was recently listed by Business Week magazine as the nation's second highest paid chief executive, with more than $13 million in compensation last year. From the beginning, the Reebok story has been one of smart marketing. The company began as a glimmer in Fireman's eye when he spotted the Reebok shoe at a trade show in 1979. Something about the mystique of the famous British running shoe stuck in Fireman's mind. Foster Sons. But before long, Fireman had negotiated the exclusive right to sell Reebok shoes in North America.Still, all was not roses. Initial attempts to sell a high priced Reebok running shoe in the United States failed. Later, Reebok was reorganized and Pentland Industries PLC, a British shoe distributor, bought a large minority stake and began helping the company distribute shoes outside the US.Reebok hit the big time with a woman's shoe for aerobics exercise classes. Instructors liked its look and feel which was a bit like a ballet slipper but had a gripping sole. It didn't take long for those following the aerobic leaders to begin bouncing and bobbing to music wearing the same soles.Despite lingering doubts attached to the faddish aspect of some of Reebok's business, securities analysts concede Reebok management is remarkably adept at discerning consumer desires and capitalizing on them. They've proven they are very powerful marketers,'' says Matthew Reich, a shoe industry analyst with Drexel Burnham Lambert. They provide the consumer with what they want.''Says Jack A. Sullivan, a senior vice president of Van Kasper Co., a San Francisco brokerage firm: It's a brilliantly run company, but they are not sanguine about staying in place. They can't be. These [huge successes] are things that will go away at least the intensity of the success will pass because what you're talking about, more than anything else, is fashion.''But to make sure Reebok thrives beyond fad or fashion, the company has been diversifying. Although its line of fashion apparel wasn't a big success, the company bought Rockport shoes for $118 million last November and recently started a line of brown leather walking shoes. Arch rival Avia, whose shoes were stealing away Reebok followers, was purchased by Reebok last November for about $180 million. There was a failed attempt to buy Stride Rite, the children's shoemaker. Now, Reebok has an eye on the Frye Company, a Marlboro, Mass., bootmaker.Reebok also is looking overseas, with factories in Taiwan and South Korean cranking out shoes for Europe, Britain, Japan, and the Pacific Rim. Sales abroad make up about 10 percent of revenues. But as Reebok moved into making running and court shoes, it encountered some problems. Reebok may have a little bit of an image problem'' among some amateur sports enthusiasts, says Michael Kennedy, owner manager of City Sports, a Boston sporting goods store. It isn't a spectacular performance shoe,'' he says. It's not known to last a long time or be tremendously supportive.''When sales of the shoe first took off, Mr. Kennedy says his store was getting 30 pairs a month returned because they blew out,'' or tore apart during heavy athletic use. Because of that, he thinks some people might not buy another pair. Despite that problem, the name Reebok was magic'' in 1986, says Kennedy. He cites as proof the flood of people coming into his store at that time saying give me Reebok' without knowing anything about them.''Now, supply has caught up with demand and the torrid pace of sales has slowed a bit. But Reebok is still one of two solid sellers in the store.I think the company has realized the problems, and they've been making the shoes stronger and more supportive,'' Kennedy says.Having corrected much of the durability problem, analysts say the company now has such momentum it will continue to be a major player in the industry.Reebok management has open ears to the consumer,'' says Drexel's Mr. Reich. They're the ones providing the fashion oriented product, the comfort they've given the consumers what they really want and that's what's driving sales.''
